Just Retirement appoints MD and group director
Just Retirement Group has appointed Hugh McKee (pictured) as managing director and Paul Turner as group director, business development.

Both roles report to Rodney Cook, CEO, Just Retirement Group, and are members of the group executive committee.

Rodney Cook, chief executive officer of Just Retirement said: “As we enter the next stage of the group’s development I am pleased to announce the appointment of Hugh McKee and Paul Turner to the leadership team. We will benefit from their significant international and UK market experience as we pursue further product and market extensions within the business.”

The appointments are subject to regulatory approval.

In October last year, specialist financial services group Just Retirement announced plans to float on the London Stock Exchange.

Last month, Just Retirement confirmed it was “rapidly adapting” its business model to accommodate changes to pensions announced at Budget 2014, after disclosing annuity sales are “at around half of pre-Budget levels.”

The provider said operating conditions had become “much tougher” since the Budget after announcing third quarter individual annuity sales – for the three months to 31 March – of £288m, up a third on the corresponding period in 2012-2013.
