Lloyds security boss stole money to buy houses
The former head of security at Lloyds Banking Group used some of the £2.4m she stole from the bank to buy houses for her family.

Jessica Harper, 50, submitted false invoices to the bank between 2007 and 2011 totalling £2,463,750. The court heard that she laundered part of the money in order to purchase homes for her family.

According to the Metro, lawyer Carol Hawley, defending, said her client was expecting a lengthy prison sentence.

“She understands perfectly well that on the next appearance she will be facing a period of imprisonment of some length,” she said in court.

Harper, based in south London, was arrested last December and will be sentenced on 21 September. She is currently in the process of selling her £700,000 home to raise funds to repay some of the stolen cash.
