Boundless enthusiasm

This week, Corinne Bible assesses the handwriting of Lino Brydges, head of the Spanish mortgage centre at Royal Bank of Scotland International

The signature of this writer is much larger than his writing, with swirling strokes and leaning to the right, meaning that the first impression he gives to people is he is a man who is powerful, dynamic and forward looking, even perhaps a little intimidating – a man to be reckoned with.

However, the writing itself is medium sized and vertically slanted which puts a softer edge to the personality picture. It means that once you get past this, he is much more approachable than one might think.

Once you get to know him, you find he is level-headed and a good listener. He is able to express himself clearly and confidently, and treats clients and workers alike with courtesy and patience.

Being independently minded, he is very measured in his approach to the decisions of the day. He prides himself on having an objective viewpoint. However, the slight fluctuations in the writing slant denote adaptability, and these together with the horizontals either side of the personal pronoun “I” mean that that this can be seen as a weak point. This makes him wary of being pressured into making decisions.

He is open to innovation, but is in essence a very practical person who is methodical, thorough and well organised. The lines of writing rise as they progress to the right which is always a sign of an irrepressible optimist.

Diane Peralta, Spanish mortgage manager at the Spanish mortgage centre at NatWest International Personal Banking, said: “The analysis gives a true reflection of Lino’s personality and character. He certainly is dynamic yet level-headed, confident yet approachable and practical yet an irrepressible optimist.” n
