Former GMAC-RFC chairman Stephen Knight releases autobiography
Mortgage industry veteran and former GMAC-RFC chair Stephen Knight has released his autobiography.

Knight was forced to give up plans to launch new lender Portillion after being diagnosed with a critical illness. Since recovery and retirement he has worked on the book He Came, He Saw, He Conquered… Then He Fell Over.

In the book Knight discusses the creation of the Private Label brand and his time at GMAC-RFC, where it grew from a small player into one of the ten biggest lenders in the country.

Knight said: “In the last 40 years I have experienced poverty, success in my career and a near fatal illness. These experiences are all covered in my book: you choose those which are the most readable.”
