Mortgage Quote’s tool launches to broker market
An online mortgage quoting tool, MortgageQuote (MQ), has launched to the intermediary market.

Developed by Tim Durman, the technology from Mortgage Quote can be integrated into brokers’ websites and pulls information from more than 90 lenders.

The web-based platform allows website visitors to enter the kind of mortgage they are looking for, as well as basic personal information to return quotes. This information can then be used by the broker to generate leads and develop client relationships.

MQ allows brokers to manage and track the quotes coming through to their website, and provides clients with hourly updates on the mortgage products available to them.

There is a mortgage calculator that can determine the cost of overpayments, stamp duty as well as capital and interest plans.

The platform costs £34.99 per month and can be embedded into a broker’s website using one line of code.

MQ can be branded to suit the broker’s business, and the lender panel available can be customised so it only shows businesses the intermediary works with.

Durman has worked in the mortgage publishing and IT industries for around 25 years and launched the publishing brand Niche News and Publishing, which included the titles Niche Mortgages and Niche Commercial. He also set up BestAdvice.net, which is still run by Kevin Rose.

The MQ platform took around two years to build, and best-buy tables are expected to be added to the platform in the coming weeks.

Durman, CEO of Mortgage Quote, said: “We are excited to introduce MQ to the mortgage broker community. Our platform aims to simplify and enhance the mortgage quoting process, providing brokers with a powerful lead-generating toolkit to serve their clients more efficiently.”
