FSA appoints senior risk management adviser
The FSA has appointed Robert Stansbury as its senior adviser on risk management as part of its delivery of intensive supervision.

Stansbury has advised boards of financial service firms on the governance of risk since 1993 and, prior to this, was a director at Hill Samuel with responsibility for derivatives, risk management, research and strategy.

In addition, the FSA has appointed Simon Prior-Palmer as a senior adviser on the investment banking sector. He formerly headed up investment banking in the UK at Credit Suisse and worked for JP Morgan.

Hector Sants, chief executive of the FSa, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Simon and Robert as senior advisors to the FSA. They both have considerable experience to bring to bear on the regulatory changes and issues that we face in our work.

“Senior advisors are a core part of the FSA’s delivery of intensive supervision. The team provides experience on regulatory, market and consumer matters.”
