TCF workshops dropped ahead of regulatory reform
The FSA has pulled the plug on its series of regional TCF workshops due to regulatory reform.

The move, which impacts six workshops scheduled for 2011, will not affect the FSA’s wider small firms TCF programme.

A spokesperson for the regulator said it decided to scrap the workshops because of the imminent split of the FSA into successor bodies the FCA and PRA.

“We are re-prioritising our resources due to regulatory reform,” she said.

Letters were sent to affected firms last week.

Despite axing the workshops, the spokesperson added the FSA’s small firm regional TCF programme will continue.

Its rolling programme encompasses roadshows, assessments and firm visits.

The workshops were an additional part of the programme.
