Connells to recruit 100 more surveyors in 2014
Connells Survey & Valuation has invested £6m in an expansion of its chartered surveyor team in order to meet increased market demand.

The firm plans to take on an additional 100 surveyors throughout 2014, as well as providing staff with professional development training. It has increased its surveying capacity by 30% over the past 12 months.

Managing director Ross Bowen said: “The timing of this expansion could not have been better given the housing market upturn.”

Concerns about the lack of surveyors reached a new high this summer, with valuation waiting times stretching to almost three weeks in some cases.

In August, Countrywide began a surveyor recruitment drive targeted at brokers and other residential property professionals, as well as experienced graduates.
