Head of European Mortgage Federation steps down
Annik Lambert, secretary general of the European Mortgage Federation (EMF) and the European Covered Bond Council (ECBC) will leave the organisation at the end of the month.

Lambert will be replaced by Luca Bertalot, formerly the deputy secretary general of the EMF and ECBC, with immediate effect.

Lambert, who joined the federation in 1992, has been secretary general of both bodies since 2005.

The EMF president, Antonio José Béjar González, said: “We are sorry to see Annik leave the EMF-ECBC after so many years but we wish her every success in her future plans.

“On behalf of all EMF and ECBC members we thank Annik for what has been an outstanding contribution to the EU mortgage lending industry over many years and especially over the turbulent period of the recent financial crisis and its aftermath.”

González said he was confident that Bertalot’s breadth of knowledge and experience of the industry would drive the EMF-ECBC forward to face the challenges of new regulatory environment.
