TSB has removed the mortgage application fee from across its residential and buy-to-let mortgage range.

It comes after TSB removed the fee of £265 from all new mortgage applications earlier this month.

Additionally, TSB has introduced new rates for its three-year fixed rate range, all of which carry no application fee.

They are as follows:

Rate LTV
1.84% 0-60%
1.99% 60-75%
2.14% 75-80%
2.29% 80-85%
2.89% 85-90%
3.89% 90-95%

Roland McCormack, mortgage intermediary director at TSB, said the new rates and removal of the application fee is good news for borrowers and hopes the changes will help customers scale the property ladder.

Earlier this year the bank experienced a 58% uplift in H1 mortgage applications.

It received over £3bn in applications during the first six months of 2016, compared to the £1.9bn it received during the same period in 2015.
