Scottish Widows Bank, part of Lloyds Banking Group, has launched SWB Click, its new online portal for brokers.

A spokesperson from Scottish Widows told Mortgage Solutions that the service is not available to the whole group, but only to customers applying for a mortgage at Scottish Widows Bank.

SWB Click offers online registrations and re-registrations for new and existing brokers and assistants.

It provides online illustrations, decisions in principle and full applications for home purchases, remortgages and further advances, as well as case tracking.

The service also allows to upload supporting information as soon as an application is submitted and a shortened application for product transfers.

Gary McGregor, head of Scottish Widows Bank, said that the company is always looking for ways to develop new technology to improve its service.

He added: “The pilot of SWB Click has been a great success, and we are now excited to make the service available more widely.

“The technology will give brokers a quick and easy-to-use system that builds on our great service.”

Lawrence Robbin, mortgage broker at A Mortgage Now, said that Scottish Widows Bank has moved straight to the top of the charts with its new online mortgage service, which is clear, intuitive and quick.

Orlagh McMullan, account executive at Financial Therapeutics, said: “The tracking feature and simplified product transfer process are saving lots of time for us and our clients.”
