Atelier hires HTB’s former lending director
Specialist lender Atelier has hired George Seabrook, formerly lending director at Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB), as lending manager.
Seabrook will work alongside Martin Gilsenan, chief originations officer, and will focus on expanding the firm’s direct developer relationships, product range and market presence.
He was previously at HTB for nearly five years, most recently as lending director for just under a year. Other roles he held include lending manager and relationship manager.
Before that he worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for around a year on the debt syndicate desk. Prior to that he worked at Ing for just under a year.
Atelier is a specialist lender providing residential property finance including ground-up development, permitted development, conversion and refurbishment, bridging and land with residential planning permission.
Gilsenan said: “Providing a custom borrower experience and a collaborative approach to lending has always been central to Atelier’s success. We’re delighted to welcome George aboard, and look forward to him helping us turn more enquiries into competitive, fixed-rate loans that enable property professionals to identify and realise development opportunities.”

Seabrook added: “I’m delighted to be joining Atelier at a time when it continues to innovate and deliver finance solutions to support developers across the country.
“Atelier’s willingness to offer bespoke debt facilities tailored to the specific needs of individual property developers has been key to its early growth, and we are keen to consolidate that success.”
HTB declined to comment.
