HSBC lowers rates by up to 0.2 per cent
HSBC has reduced rates across its existing customer, home mover, remortgage and buy-to-let ranges by up to 0.2 per cent.

The changes come into force from today.

In its existing customer switching ranges, rates have fallen by up to 0.2 per cent. This includes two, three and five-year fixed rate deals with fee-saver and standard options.

This includes its five-year fixed rate at 85 per cent LTV with no fee has gone down from 4.59 per cent to 4.39 per cent.

Its two-year fixed rate at 60 per cent LTV with £999 fee has decreased by 0.05 per cent to 4.49 per cent, whilst its five-year fixed rate at the same LTV tier with no fee has fallen by the same amount to 3.89 per cent.

Rates edge down

On the home mover side, reductions of up to 0.15 per cent have been applied to two and five-year fixed rates.

Its five-year fixed rate at 85 per cent LTV with no fee has gone down by 0.15 per cent to 4.44 per cent, whilst its no-fee five-year fixed rate at 60 per cent LTV has reduced by 0.14 per cent to 4.29 per cent.

In its remortgage range cuts of up to 0.05 per cent have come into force for five-year fixed rates.

Its fee-free five-year fixed rate at 60 per cent LTV has decreased by 0.05 per cent to 4.14 per cent, and at 90 per cent LTV the rate has fallen by 0.05 per cent to 4.74 per cent.

HSBC has cut rates across its buy-to-let rates, including existing customer and home mover, by up to 0.3 per cent.

On the home mover side, its fee-free five-year fixed rate at 75 per cent LTV has decreased by 0.3 per cent to 4.79 per cent.

An example in its existing customer range is its two-year fixed rate at 60 per cent LTV with £1,999 fee has gone down by 0.2 per cent to 4.49 per cent.
