Suing brokers ‘a final option’ if Bank of Ireland and FCA stand by – lawyer
As a conscientious adviser with the sole aim of protecting my clients the question I would like answered is what were we supposed to have done at the point of sale and what could we have done differently?
I have not yet been made aware of any mortgages I arranged falling into this category but if BoI are allowed to get away with this where will this end? It is surely only a matter of time now before we see adverts in the press such as ‘Do you have a buy-to-let mortgage with Bank of Ireland…..’ and yet again decent hard working brokers will be put through the ringer once again by these parasitic CMCs.
If brokers act irresponsibly then they should be brought to book but surely enough is enough and law abiding brokers need some protection.
