The Debt Advisor

Manchester-based debt management company The Debt Advisor has hired Rebecca Rudden and Ricky Shelmerdine as personal debt advisers. Both will be responsible for liaising with clients and creditors to establish debt management schemes, accepting plans and dealing with interest payments.

Rudden was previously with All Clear Finance, a trading name of Harrington Brooks Ltd, part of the One Advice Group.

Shelmerdine has worked in the debt management industry for nearly five years for both Debt Free Helpline and One Advice Group.

The firm has also recruited Rose Marsh as an individual voluntary agreement (IVA) drafting administrator, responsible for assessing IVA cases, drafting IVA proposals, and issuing all the relevant paperwork to clients, creditors and the courts.

Premier Mortgage Service

Premier Mortgage Service has appointed Martin Reynolds to the newly created role of corporate manager.

Reynolds joins with immediate effect. He will form part of the strategic management team with John Malone, managing director, and Lisa Martin, director of operations.

His responsibilities include the development and launching of new income streams for PMS as well as reviewing its current distribution model and business partner strategy. Reynolds was previously commercial director at Edeus.

Cardif Pinnacle

Ian Shackell has joined Cardif Pinnacle, part of the worldwide BNP Paribas Assurance Group, as chief risk officer.

Shackell’s primary responsibilities will be to oversee and develop Cardif Pinnacle’s business risk, customer relations, compliance and legal functions.

Before joining Cardif, Shackell was director of finance and risk at EIS Insurance Solutions, and was previously director of audit and compliance at Amlin plc.

He has also held senior management positions with Norwich Union and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Abbey

Sue Carvell has joined Abbey for Intermediaries as divisional sales director.

Carvell joins from Alliance and Leicester, where she was responsible for business delivery in the south of England.

In her new role, she will be responsible for maintaining and building Abbey’s relationship with the network of intermediary clients in the south of the UK, and will be reporting directly to Abbey for Intermediaries’ managing director, Ricky Okey. n
