Hector Sants to meet Occupy London protesters
Hector Sants, chief executive of the Financial Services Authority (FSA), will meet with Occupy London protesters in a private session on Wednesday.

Sants will meet the protesters, who have been camped outside St Paul’s Cathedral for two months, at the Centre for Reconciliation and Peace in the City of London.

Ken Costa, former vice-chairman of UBS and chairman of Lazard International, and Richard Chartres, the Bishop of London, will also be present at the meeting arranged by St Pauls.

Sants and the protesters will discuss regulatory change, social and economic justice at the session, which Occupy London said aims to create dialogue between the Occupy movement and the regulator.

Occupy London will press for the FSA to create a financial system that is “democratic, just, open, accountable and transparent” and for regulators which are “genuinely independent of the industries they regulate”.
