Does MA know best? Watch the Money Advice Service’s ads
Do you love a bit of Corrie but tend to channel-flick during the ad breaks? If you do, you might missed the Money Advice Service's (MAS's) new campaign to promote the importance of managing money.

The ‘What does MA think?’ campaign, which launched on Monday night, has the admirable – if optimistic – objective of encouraging millions of people to understand the importance of knowing what to do with their money.

Financial advisers are not the MAS’s intended audience, of course. You lot know a thing or two about managing money, so these ads are likely to be of no use to you. But they certainly won’t bore you.

The initial TV ads focus on: redundancy, everyday budgeting and moving home.

Speaking ahead of the campaign’s launch, Money Advice Service chairman Gerard Lemos said: “This campaign is designed to shake people out of their money slumber and prompt them to manage their finances well.

“The research confirms the advice gap is still a chasm and, if we are to be a nation that saves, plans and prepares for the unexpected, we need to be creative and reach many millions of people to tell them they can get free and unbiased advice from the Money Advice Service.”
