Tony Salentino, director at Complete FS said: “The trade press already does a great job of keeping us all up to date with the latest news and opinions. However, I believe that the work they do in organising more locally based events with particular themes such as buy to let, is much more valuable than the larger national events.
Salentino said these events provide brokers with a far greater chance to learn about the latest developments in a particular industry segment, the existing and emerging opportunities available as well as being able to listen and speak to the lenders and distributors who can help them and their clients in a more intimate and personal environment.
He added: “The recent BTL forums in Birmingham and London were well organised, well attended and all the brokers I spoke to were delighted to be able to get in front of lenders and distributors in smaller groups to put their questions and attend some great sessions on particular aspects of the buy-to-let market.
“So a pat on the back to the Mortgage Solutions team and the increasingly important role played by our trade media in bringing the industry together,” he added.
