Stephen Smith appointed non exec chairman of Legal and General Surveying Services
Stephen Smith, who retired from his role as Legal and General Housing Partnership’s director of housing strategy before Christmas, has been appointed non-executive chair of Legal and General Surveying Services from 9 February 2018.

Smith retired from L&G Housing Partnerships at the end of December.

Kevin Webb, managing director of Legal & General Surveying Services, said: “It is great news that we can continue to benefit from Stephen’s unique and valuable experience in the mortgage market.”

“Stephen is joining us at an exciting time. His experience is unparalleled in our industry and his insight will continue to support us as we progress as a business. We have many ground breaking initiatives planned for this year and beyond and his help will be invaluable in making them a reality.”

Stephen Smith said: “I am delighted to be able to continue my work with Legal & General Surveying Services. Surveying Services is a company that I have known and supported for many years. As chairman, I am looking forward to helping them continue their impressive journey of innovation and growth.”

“Surveying Services leads its market and has ground-breaking plans for the future in both the business to business and consumer digital sectors. I am looking forward to helping drive that success.”

In January, Smith accepted a non-executive directorship with AIM-listed advice group Mortgage Advice Bureau’s Board.
