Berkeley Alexander unveils sourcing system as Tenet partners Towergate
Berkeley Alexander has launched a new general insurance (GI) sourcing system for intermediaries which will halve the quote time, make product comparisons easier and help advisers with regulator compliance.

The insurer said it will also be launching an additional suite of new add-on insurance products, and a commission slider to give advisers more control over premium pricing.

Features of the system include:

  • A simplified approach to the collection of client information;
  • The ability to amend the quotation on the quotation page without having to re-quote.
  • An improved quote pack which can be generated as an e-mail to send directly to the client;
  • Choice of customer payment options including BACS via online banking, debit or credit card and direct debit.

Berkeley Alexander managing director Geoff Hall said: “We’ve made a significant investment in our new online GI sourcing system. The result is a quicker and easier sales, advice, and compliance process that will really help advisers to help clients and maximise income from GI.”

Hard-to-place cases

Meanwhile, Tenet Group has partnered with Towergate to provide a referral service for commercial and hard-to-place general insurance cases, including unoccupied, non-standard and high-risk properties.

TenetLime managing director Simon Broadley said: “This referral service enables our members to easily place any home or commercial insurance that would be outside most insurers’ criteria, with the peace of mind they are referring their clients to experts in the field of this type of specialist insurance.”

Towergate SME division trading director Rob Ashburn added: “We are delighted with the partnership launch, and our access to a wide range of insurance products will help advisers across the Tenet Group ensure their clients are sufficiently protected and their needs are met.”
