The growth in self-employed and contract workers is one of the longer-term trends in the UK population.

This has been driven by a range of factors including changes in working behaviours, retirement habits and employment practices.

As a result, many people do not fit the traditional standardised income model for mortgage borrowers.

So this week Mortgage Solutions is asking if you think lenders are doing enough to support this growing population?

Are lenders doing enough with criteria to accommodate self-employed and contract workers?

  • Yes, there’s plenty of choice
  • Some have it right
  • No, it’s difficult to place cases
  • Don’t know
