Hodge reduces rates across all residential mortgage ranges
Hodge has cut rates across its entire residential mortgage range.

The lender has trimmed the cost of holiday let, 50+, retirement interest only, as well as professional mortgage deals by up to 0.40 per cent.

Revised products include the 50+ two-year fixed rate mortgage with 60 per cent loan-to-value (LTV) at 5.65 per cent – down 0.25 per cent from 5.90 per cent (the product has a fee of £995) and the fee-free version of the same product which has a new rate of 5.80 per cent – down 0.25 per cent from 6.05 per cent.

Meanwhile, several holiday buy-to-let (HBTL) products have been reduced by 0.40 per cent including the HBTL two-year fixed with £995 product fee, which has dropped from 6.55 per cent to 6.15 per cent.

Rates across Hodge’s retention ranges have also been reduced by up to 0.60 per cent.

It is the third time the specialist lender has reduced rates since re-entering the market after a pause in July.

Hodge: ‘What a great start to 2023’

Emma Graham, business development director at Hodge (pictured), said: “What a great start to 2023, following what turned out to be a bit of a rollercoaster year for mortgages in 2022. We are absolutely thrilled to be starting the year on such a positive note and bringing even greater rate reductions across all of our mortgage products for the benefit of our partners and their clients.

“With reduced rates already bringing much-needed stability back to the mortgage and property market towards the end of last year, it’s incredibly heartening to be announcing yet further reductions across our entire portfolio of mortgage products as we head into the first quarter of 2023.

“With both repayment and interest only options on our 50+ and holiday let mortgages, and up to 90 per cent LTV available on our professional products too, this is undoubtedly more welcome news at a time when many people need all the financial support available to them.”
