Landbay brings back green deals and cuts rates
Buy-to-let specialist lender Landbay has reintroduced its green five-year fixed rates, added a duo of two-year fixed rate products and reduced select rates.

The green range, which is for properties with an EPC rating between A and C, was withdrawn during the mini Budget.

The green rates have a 0.1 per cent discount on its five-year fixed rates and there are five options available. They start at 75 per cent loan to value (LTV) at 4.69 per cent with a five per cent fee.

Its option with a four per cent fee is priced at 4.89 per cent, its three per cent fee iteration is 5.09 per cent and its two per cent fee or £1,999 fee option is priced at 5.29 per cent.

The lender has also brought out a standard two-year fixed rate at 4.19 per cent and a small house in multiple occupation (HMO) and Multi unit residential building (MURB) two-year fixed rate at 4.25 per cent. Both have an LTV 75 per cent and a four per cent fee.

Landbay has cut rates for standard five-year fixed rate with a three per cent fee. Its 55 per cent LTV deal has fallen from 5.09 per cent to 4.99 per cent, and its 65 per cent LTV deal has decreased from 5.14 per cent to 5.09 per cent.

Encouraging landlords to update properties

Rob Stanton, business development director at Landbay, said: “It’s wonderful news that we can relaunch our green range as there have been fewer green buy-to-let mortgages in the market recently.

“We want to encourage landlords to upgrade property to at least a C rating in preparation for forthcoming legislation and to make homes more energy efficient.”

He continued: “Our product development team has also been busy designing new products and reducing rates on existing ones giving our intermediary partners and their landlord clients more choice.

“The two and five-year fixed rates are equally as popular at the moment and by offering a range of rates and fees it is easier for landlords to pass stress tests.”
