Aldermore hires Morrey as product owner
Aldermore has appointed Nick Morrey (pictured) as product owner in its property division, with part of his role focusing on the “optimization of a complete broker experience for intermediaries” working with the firm.

Morrey recently worked at Coreco as sales technical director, joining the firm in 2021, where he managed and grew the firm’s team of brokers in London and Southend offices and across the country.

He departed in February this year following a “change in strategic direction”.

Before Coreco, he worked at John Charcol from 2002, most recently as product technical manager and head of the specialist mortgage technical service team.

Matt McCullough, Aldermore’s national sales manager, said: “We’re thrilled to have Nick aboard as one of the latest strategic hires within our property division. He brings more than 25 years of expertise across the mortgage industry from senior roles at Coreco and John Charcol, amongst others.

“Nick will play a key role in providing our intermediary partners and their clients with a compelling level of service, as we help ever more people to go for it in life and business. A vital part of this will be focused on the optimisation of a complete broker experience for intermediaries working with Aldermore, from decision in principle to completion and beyond.”

In its latest financial results, Steven Cooper, CEO of Aldermore Group, said that it had seen “encouraging growth” in its retail mortgages division, especially in its specialist buy-to-let business.

He continued that it was “modernising” Aldermore and had brought on “highly experienced new leaders to our team, bringing new perspectives and expertise to drive our strategy forward”.
