Santander has changed its product transfer process cancellation process to allow brokers to be able to request a new product transfer deal online, where your client has a product transfer deal pending.
In order to be eligible it has to be at least 14 days before the start of the pending deal, the client has to have a mortgage with a single loan part only and must not have paid the product fee upfront where applicable.
The lender said that brokers should follow the email cancellation process where a client has a mortgage with multiple loan parts, has paid the product fee upfront and wants to cancel without booking a new deal.
Santander noted that in order to cancel a product transfer request online, brokers should log on to the Introducer Internet, view current product transfer rates, select the important information screen to submit a new product transfer request.
Customers will need to accept their new product transfer offer to cancel the deal pending on their mortgage.
Cancellation of the previous deal can take up to three working days.
