London and Country signs deal with estate agency franchise
Letting and sales franchise firm, The Property Franchise Group, has launched a financial services arm in partnership with Legal and General and London and Country.

The partnership will see the group offer a whole of market approach to mortgage deals, as opposed to the norm offered by high street estate agents where mortgages are only available from a limited panel. The group trades under the property brand names of Martin & Co, Whitegates, CJ Hole, Parkers and Ellis & Co.

The Property Franchise Group said that this approach adopted by most estate agents meant that often customers pay for advice but not end up with a mortgage that best suits their circumstances.

Ian Wilson, CEO of The Property Franchise Group, said the firm would now be able to offer clients an “efficient financial services solution anywhere in the UK”.

“We chose telephone and web fulfilment because people are busy and do not find it convenient to attend long meetings with mortgage advisers. Once you are a customer you can track the progress of your case on-line. You know the mortgage is the best in the market for your needs and you will pay no fee for the advice,” he said.

Phillip Cartwright, managing director of London & Country, added: “Our partnership with The Property Franchise Group is mutually beneficial and we are delighted to be associated with the UK’s largest property franchisor. They have one of the biggest client bases in the sector and we are looking forward to helping their customers take advantage of our award winning, fee free service.”
