Jeremy Law joins YBS to head up BTL
Jeremy Law has been appointed head of buy-to-let for Yorkshire Building Society to lead the lender's move into the sector in Q2.

Earlier this week, YBS announced that it would be branching out into the buy-to-let sector and distribute its buy-to-let products via its intermediary arm, Accord Mortgages.

She said: “Following our merger with Chelsea Building Society, we have an existing buy-to-let mortgage book. We are currently working on the possibility of pursuing new lending in this area of the market and we expect our buy-to-let operation is likely to include Yorkshire’s intermediary lending subsidiary, Accord Mortgages.”

Law joins YBS from Bradford & Bingley where he was head of mortgage products.

He moved to his former role of head of commercial relationship management in 2009.

He said: “I’m delighted to join Yorkshire Building Society to review its entry into the buy-to-let market.

“The Society has an existing buy-to-let mortgage book following its merger with Chelsea Building Society and I’m looking forward to getting to grips with the expertise the Society already has in this area as well as building a new team to support the project.”

Law will be based between the lender’s head office in Bradford and its Chelsea Building Society offices in Cheltenham.
