All this week, Mortgage Solutions has been examining the issue of mortgage fraud, giving insight through a mixture of analysis, features and interviews with experts from across the industry.

Monday

John Malone, AMI spokesperson on fraud and executive chairman of PMS, examined how the industry can fight the threat of fraud, and we ran down the top ten most read fraud stories of 2011 so far.

Tuesday

Mortgage Solutions exclusive columnist The Insider explained why refusing a suspected mortgage fraudsters’ cash/blood diamonds can land you in jail.

And editor Victoria Hartley grilled the FSA’s strategy specialist for financial crime and intelligence, Edna Young, on just how many brokers will be censured this year, fraud regulations and lenders cutting broker panels.

Wednesday

In Market Watch, we asked how firms can effectively protect their brand and the industry from fraudulent mortgage brokers, with AMI’s Robert Sinclair, Tenet Lime’s Gemma Harle and My Home Move’s Karen Babington offering their view.

Friday
