Capita Asset Services, which acquired Crown, currently manages £129bn of commercial loans and until now has not handled residential mortgage administration.
Debt and banking chief executive Robbie Hughes said the partnership with Crown would make its foray into domestic administration a ‘compelling proposition’ for existing and new entrants to the market.
Andrew Doyle, managing director of Capita Mortgage Services, said: “…we retain all of the considerable knowledge we have built up over the years, while also drawing on resources offered by the Capita group.
“Both existing and potential clients will be reassured by the knowledge that their investments are being managed by a company with a solid foundation in the financial services sector.”
