Financial Services Expo unveils seminar programme

Financial Services Expo (FSE) London, has announced a range of new seminar theatres hosted by trade bodies and specialist firms to tie in with its zones at this year's event.

The programme includes the MAB Business Skills Theatre and the Specialist Lending Theatre put together by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB).

The Protection Theatre will be presented by Roger Edwards and the Retirement Planning Theatre will host seminars from the Equity Release Council (ERC) and the Personal Finance Society.

The MAB Theatre sessions will include speakers such as David Bedlow and Peter Brodnicki of MAB who will look at the key skills needed to be a business success. Keynote speaker, Jamil Qureshi, will analyse the mindset and attitude needed for high performance.

The Specialist Lending Theatre will include a panel debate on the impact of second charge lending with participants from Brightstar, Freedom Finance, John Charol, Precise and Shawbrook.

It will host a buy-to-let master class session and an overview of bridging loans, secured loans and micro mortgages.

In the Retirement Planning Theatre interactive and panel sessions will cover topics such as the changing face of retirement, and long-term care.

Presentations will come from Aviva, the ERC, Key Retirement Solutions, Partnership, the PFS, Prudential, and Saga.

The Protection Theatre’s line-up looks at the future of the protection market, the complexities of critical illness and ideas for generating protection business.

Speakers from Bright Grey, CIExpert, Panacea Adviser, Pru Protect, Scottish Widows and Social Advisers will be taking part.

Exhibitors which have already confirmed their attendance include: The Financial Conduct Authority, Barclays/Woolwich, Lloyds Banking Group, Nationwide Building Society/The Mortgage Works, Santander, Simplybiz, and PMS. 

John Malone, chairman of Front Events, organisers of FSE London, said: “We are not a business to stand still and it has been absolutely evident to us that as the financial services industry changes, so should our exhibitions.”

FSE London will be held at Old Billingsgate on the 24 and 25 September.
