FCA to host mortgage market conference on industry challenges
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will hold its annual conference on the mortgage market on 7 September at the QEII Centre in London to discuss the main challenges facing the industry.

The discussion, chaired by Simon Jack, business and economics presenter on Radio 4’s Today programme, will centre around three topics; affordable housing, an ageing population and over-indebtedness.

The FCA’s director of strategy and competition, Christopher Woolard, and Linda Woodall, acting director of supervision, retails and authorisations, will deliver the keynote speeches. Panel debates and interactive sessions with industry and academic and FCA experts feature on the agenda.

The conference is open to senior managers and senior compliance staff from regulated firms.
