VAS Assurance AVM offering reaches £200m lending milestone
VAS Assurance’s automatic valuation model offering, Valuation Desktop+, has completed over £200m of valuations across 300 properties.

The system was launched in February this year, and allocates each individual case to one of its in-house professionals who creates a valuation report based on specific property information provided by the client.

This includes key property factors, as well as conclusion and recommendations.

As there is no physical inspection, reports are guaranteed in 48 hours. It also produced land registry mapped site plans to make sure the whole boundary has been considered in the valuation.

It is designed to work with standard mortgageable residential property below £2m in London and £1m in the rest of the county. It is also compatible with semi-commercial and commercial properties.

Lenders who have worked with the system include Aspen Bridging and Hope Capital.

‘Instrumental in speeding up valuation’

Jack Coombs, director at Aspen Bridging, said: “Valuation Desktop+ is a unique offering combining experienced valuation professionals with an efficient and swift service. We are very happy in the strong partnership between the two firms.”

Laura Carr, head of underwriting at Hope Capital, added: “Since working with VAS, they have been instrumental in helping us speed up our valuation process, whilst understanding our business model. The team are a key player in ensuring we can deliver the highest quality of service to our clients and get deals across the line in a timely manner.”

VAS Assurance is part of the VAS Valuation Group, which rebranded in May this year. VAS Assurance was previously VAS Audit division.
