The Later Life Lending Event took place last week at the Hilton Bankside with topics including current market environment and long-term trends, regulation, customer vulnerability and holistic advice.
The event was hosted by Oonagh Sheehan, Mortgage Solutions head of commercial partnerships, with over 130 people attending the event.
Hansen Lu, Aviva’s housing economist, said that fixed mortgage rates could remain “relatively low” even if the base rate continues to rise, noting that the market expected interest rates to raise by an additional one per cent by the end of the year.
Adam Johnson, director of New Forest Wealth Management, noted that advisers should be aware of all lifestyle choices that impact older clientele so equity release does not have a detrimental impact on them later on.
Here are all the photos from the event and more coverage will follow.
