Nottingham BS hires two BDMs to team
Nottingham Building Society has appointed two business development managers (BDM), Jennifer Curry and Rebecca Haith, to its sales team.

Curry will cover the North West and Haith has been promoted to telephone BDM. Both will report to national sales manager Matt Kingston.

Curry joins from Aldermore where she worked for around a year as a BDM, and before that she worked for around 14 years at Barclays. She initially worked as a personal banker and premier relationship manager.

Haith has worked at the mutual for around two years, starting as a customer service assistant before moving to a mortgage support officer role.

The firm said that it would continue to grow its sales team over the next few months, with two field BDMs expected to join in June.

The company said this would allow brokers to have a “dedicated field and telephone contact directly”.

It has recently hired Praven Subbramoney as its chief lending officer and appointed Anthony Murphy as its chief financial officer.

Kingston said the firm was “thrilled” to welcome both to the team and was “genuinely excited to collaborate with both of them”.

“It’s fantastic that we not only hire externally but also recognise and promote the exceptional talent within our own organisation. Rebecca truly impressed us during her time on the intermediary enquiry line, and she absolutely deserves this opportunity to further her career with us.

“All of our new mortgage business is via intermediaries, and we are building a brilliant sales team to ensure that we can provide the right level of support both in the field and over the phone,” he added.

Curry said: “I am really pleased to start life at The Nottingham as a business development manager covering the North West.

“With 16 years of my own financial services experience, including working with various banks and specialist lenders, I am hoping to really enhance connections with brokers in the area and build strong and lasting relationships.”
