Countrywide Surveying Services appoints Bourke as retrofit director
Valuation panel management provider Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS) has appointed Jonathan Bourke as director of retrofit.

In the role, Bourke will develop and run CSS and Harvey, Donaldson and Gibson’s retrofit division. The latter company runs in the public sector housing markets.

This will include business development and managing clients, internal retrofit assessors and retrofit coordinators along with compliance and quality control.

He joins from Warmworks where he worked for around a year in the role of excellence manager at the Retrofit Centre. In his role he ensured all the work at GSENZH’s LAD and HUG schemes in London and South East were delivered to standard.

Before that he worked at Elmhurst Energy where he oversaw operational responsibility for a division of the business which offered 280,000 EPCs annually.

Matthew Cumber, managing director at CSS, said: “Jonathan is a consummate professional and highly experienced retrofit assessor, retrofit coordinator, and retrofit evaluator who will add great value and experience to our growing retrofit division.

“Educating homebuyers and working closely with our lending partners to help deliver innovative retrofit solutions with sustained outcomes remains a key priority for the business moving forward.”

He continued: “This is an appointment which will facilitate the exploration and delivery of a range of solutions to help improve the energy-related performance of UK housing stock and combat the significant climate change challenge we are all facing.”

Bourke added: “This represents a fantastic opportunity to work with the leading company in its field and I’m looking forward to further developing the CSS retrofit proposition across the private owner and lender markets.”
