Exclusive: Gen H hires Clarke and Jackson as BDMs
Gen H has appointed Dane Clarke and David Jackson as business development managers (BDM), bringing the total number of BDMs to six.

Clarke will cover the Midlands area and Jackson will focus on the North.

Clarke joins from MPowered Mortgages where he was a key account manager for almost two years, and before that he was a key account manager at Vida Homeloans for nearly a year.

Before that, he worked at Coventry Building Society for more than seven years, initially joining as a customer service specialist and then working his way up to BDM.

Jackson joins from specialist lender Tab, where he worked for around a year as a BDM. He also had his own brokerage, Lincolnshire Financial Services which he ran for around three years.

Before that he was a BDM at The Mortgage Lender for nearly three years and before that worked at Metro Bank for around two years.

Gen H expanding its reach

Gen H, which opened to the broker market in 2021, has been broadening its proposition, launching a product switching range for intermediaries and adding a conveyancing service.

In an interview earlier this year, chief commercial officer Peter Dockar said that it was on track to be a top 20 lender by the end of the year and it was aiming to grow its broker panel to around 15,000.

A Gen H spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome both Dane Clarke and David Jackson to Gen H. As we continue to expand our intermediary panel and forge closer relationships with our existing partners, it has never been more important to have a robust and talented team to continue our mission.

“Our team of BDMs will continue to deliver excellent outcomes for our intermediary partners and we are very excited to have Dane and David on the team.”

A spokesperson at MPowered Mortgages said: “We can confirm Clarke has left the firm and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We are recruiting for a replacement and in the meantime his currently responsibilities will be absorbed by the existing sales team at MPowered.”
