Buy-to-let (BTL) specialist lender Landbay has appointed Sam Waterhouse (pictured) as its business development manager (BDM) for the Midlands.
At Landbay, Waterhouse will manage its key business relationships with intermediaries and other key partners in the Midlands, and will focus on “supporting continued growth”.
He joins from Paragon, where he was a mortgage underwriter for around 12 years.
The lender said that Waterhouse would bring “valuable experience” to the firm, and his “detailed knowledge of specialist underwriting will give confidence to intermediaries as he moves into his new business development role”.
Rob Stanton, sales and distribution director at Landbay, said: “Landbay continues to go from strength to strength through our focus on brokers and their clients. We’re very pleased to welcome Sam, whose fantastic experience will further help consolidate and grow our position as the BTL lender of choice.”
Waterhouse said: “I am passionate about BTL and very excited to join Landbay, which has a great reputation in the sector. I am looking forward to using my knowledge, experience, and proven relationship-building skills to help Landbay thrive in the Midlands.”
Stanton took on the role of sales and distribution director as Paul Brett left the business to set up his own consultancy.
A recent survey from Smart Money People showed that Landbay’s BDMs had the highest rate of satisfaction with brokers at 94 per cent, tied with specialist lender Interbay.
