There is increasing speculation over when the Bank of England will raise the Base Rate from its current rate of 0.5%.
Earlier this month the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) revised its interest rate predictions as it expects an earlier increase in Base Rate to head off rapidly increasing house prices.
However, outgoing Monetary Policy Committee member Charlie Bean this week warned of the risks associated with changing the Base Rate for the first time since March 2009.
