BM Solutions

Nigel Payne has been appointed the new managing director of BM Solutions, succeeding Tim Hague.

Payne is currently the managing director of fellow HBoS brand The Mortgage Business, and will continue in this role alongside his new position. He starts with immediate effect, and will continue to report to Nigel Stockton, the managing director of HBoS Intermediaries.

Payne has substantial experience in the specialist mortgage market, and is already familiar with the BM brand, having been involved with its integration into HBoS.

He will be responsible for further development of the BM brand and delivering excellent service to brokers and distributors.

Abbey for Intermediaries

Abbey has recruited Sara Green to the role of national key account manager.

Green has almost 15 years’ experience in financial services, having previously worked at Advantage. Her appointment follows that of Adrian Whittaker as key accounts director and Michelle Harvey as a fellow national key account manager.

Reporting to Whittaker, Green will be responsible for strengthening the relationship between Abbey for Intermediaries and its national and network intermediary clients.

Alliance & Leicester

Alliance & Leicester has announced a reorganisation of responsibilities for board members and some senior managers.

As part of the changes, Ian Buchanan, currently group IT director, will join the board of A&L as group manufacturing director.

Richard Banks, currently managing director of commercial banking has become group risk director with overall responsibility for all of the group’s risk processes, while Chris Rhodes has taken on he responsibility for the group’s treasury in addition to his role as finance director.

In addition, Bryce Glover, currently director of corporate banking will become managing director, commercial bank. n
