Platform launches “listening” events
Platform this week kicked off a series of events that give intermediaries the opportunity to shape its future proposition.

The dedicated intermediary lender of the Co-operative Bank will hold seven ‘Platform Live’ sessions for intermediary partners across the South. They will last until 3 May and be attended by around 70 brokers at locations such as Bristol, Southampton, Reading and London.

The interactive sessions will address market issues and assess ways lenders can support the sector through service, products and criteria.

Platform said the events are part of its ongoing engagement with brokers and “focus on supporting development of the intermediary sector.”

The lender has committed not to cross-sell or dual price unlike other lenders and it intends to launch further events in the North later this year.

Lee Gladwell, business development director at Platform, said: “We believe passionately in the benefits of professional mortgage advice and we continue to mould our business in a way that helps intermediaries best deliver this to their clients.

“These sessions are a further opportunity for us to ensure we remain on the pulse of the sector, and provide our partners with the chance to tell us what we can do to enhance our support for them.

“We continue to underpin our business on what intermediaries truly require from a lender.”
