BSA conference: We are listening, says FSA
At the BSA conference today, Sheila Nicoll, director for conduct policy at the FSA will say the regulator is listening to industry concerns and her speech is set to put "flesh on the bones" of many of its regulatory proposals.

During this morning’s panel discussion, ‘The regulatory outlook for mortgage lenders’, Nicoll plans to move the agenda forward and set out the regulator’s thinking on the next steps.

Nicoll plans to reaffirm the regulator’s open engagement with the industry today, said a spokesperson, “but the key thing is that we are here to listen.”

Nicoll will be joined on the panel by Paul Broadhead, head of mortgage policy at the BSA, Paul Winter, CEO, Ipswich Building Society and Annik Lambert, secretary general, European Mortgage Federation.

Watch out for Mortgage Solution’s exclusive post-discussion interview with the FSA’s Sheila Nicoll later today.
