He starts on 1st July.
He will report to Ian Andrew, managing director of Nationwide Group Intermediary Sales. Salter has been with Nationwide since the launch of Nationwide for Intermediaries (NFI) in 2008 and has been regional sales manager for the South East during that time.
Prior to joining Nationwide he spent 19 years at C&G in a variety of roles, mainly in intermediary sales.
Matthew Wyles, group distribution director, Nationwide, said: “Gary Salter was appointed after an exhaustive selection process with competition from a strong field of internal and external candidates. I’m confident that Gary, who has worked in the intermediary market for many years, will hit the ground running in this key management role.”
Ian Andrew, managing director, group intermediary sales, Nationwide, added: “Salter has been one of our top regional sales managers since the launch of Nationwide for Intermediaries four years ago and his appointment to head of corporate accounts will ensure we continue to strengthen our strategic relationships with our key intermediary partners.”
