Clydesdale Bank was named best buy-to-let lender and its mortgage business development manager Anthony Richards won the award in that category.
Skipton Intermediaries was recognised as the best smaller lender and Halifax Intermediaries as the Best Lender Time to Offer, while Woolwich was deemed Most Improved.
Miguel Sard, Managing Director of Abbey for Intermediaries, said: “We are very pleased to be named Best Residential Lender and to receive the award for Best Product Innovation from Alexander Hall.
“We are committed to supporting our intermediary partners with great products and service, and we will be working hard to deepen our relationships and build upon this success in 2013.”
Your Mortgage Decisions director Martin Wade said Skipton was always very innovative and he wasn’t surprised by Abbey’s award, while Woolwich was good if brokers ‘dotted their i’s and crossed their t’s’.
“Woolwich is one of those lenders if you get the application spot on it can sail through. If you do not you can be caught up in administration for weeks,” he said.
