FCA mortgage boss Lynda Blackwell switches roles
Lynda Blackwell has moved from her role as mortgage policy manager at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Mortgage Solutions can reveal.

Blackwell has taken up a new role as mortgages and mutuals sector manager within the regulator.

She will remain within the mortgage sector but will now lead the team responsible for identifying, analysing and monitoring the key risks affecting the mortgage market and working on the FCA’s strategy for the sector.

Under her previous role Blackwell had led the team responsible for the Mortgage Market Review, European Mortgage Credit Directive and second charge market.

Blackwell was among the speakers at the Mortgage and Protection Event in Birmingham and Manchester in December. At the event brokers voiced concerns over a lack of transparency at the country’s mortgage lenders.
