A pilot scheme for appointed representatives of Sesame and directly authorised broker members of PMS is currently underway, testing the popularity of a life and protection desk which accepts leads from intermediaries.
A specialist protection member firm has been chosen to accept business from a small number of mortgage brokers across both PMS and Sesame. If the trial is successful, the group will look to roll out the service across the country, nominating more protection firms to act as specialist advisers.
An equity release panel is also under development which will allow brokers with clients who may be better suited to a lifetime mortgage to refer the customer to an equity release adviser.
Mark Graves (pictured), group sales director, said since joining the company in December, his objective has been to provide brokers with the support services they need to cover all their client requirements.
“I’ve spent the last three months out in the field listening to what brokers need to help them write more business so these developments are a direct result of feedback from our members.”
