Santander has made upgrades to its introducer site to make it easier for brokers to submit applications to the lender.
The changes came into force from yesterday.
The lender said that it would offer maximum loans on eligible residential applications at agreement in principle (AIP) and full mortgage application (FMA) stage.
The change means that if a client is offered a maximum loan with which they are happy, brokers can amend the AIP or FMA and apply for the maximum loan amount.
Santander added that for existing customers porting a residential mortgage, it can now retrieve mortgage account details at FMA stage.
If it is able to match the detail it displays of the existing mortgage, brokers can then choose the loan parts to port.
If the lender cannot match the details, then the broker will need to enter details manually.
Santander added that there is improved product search functionality to make it easier for brokers to find the right solutions for their clients.
The lender has also introduced an online form in its introducer platform so admin users can register. This means brokers no longer have to sign and upload the form.
