Principality BS appoints two BDMS
Principality Building Society has recruited two business development managers (BDMs) as part of its strategy to provide further support to brokers.

Jo Silcox (pictured) will cover the Swansea, Cardiff and Powys postcode areas while Cara Thompson will look after the Hereford, Worcester, Newport and Gloucester postcode areas. 

Silcox previously worked as a Principality branch manager for 17 years, while Thompson joins from Hodge where she was a telephony BDM for almost two years. Prior to that, Thompson worked at Principality as a customer consultant, and she was also previously a mortgage adviser. 

Helen Lewis, national intermediary manager at Principality, said: “It is exciting to welcome both Jo and Cara into the team, I am delighted we have been able to appoint these two exceptional individuals into key geographical areas for us. They are passionate about helping to grow our mortgage business, with a focus on delivering excellent service, they will help our brokers to place business with us whilst also educating them on all things Principality.  

“Together they are a great addition to our strong and dedicated team of business development managers who support our brokers across the UK.” 

Silcox said: “I’ve worked in Principality for 17 years in a variety of mortgage and retail-based management roles and I’m really looking forward to this new challenge. It will be great to get to know the brokers within the area and get a good understanding of what matters to them. I will then be able to support by delivering excellent service whilst promoting Principality.” 

Thompson said: “I’m delighted to be starting this new role having recently joined Principality, bringing with me a wealth of knowledge from previous roles, including being a mortgage adviser and a desk-based business development manager. I’m looking forward to sharing our brilliant mortgage offerings, and helping more people find their perfect home.”
