Twenty7tec acquires mortgage affordability platform BrokerSense
Twenty7Tec has bought out mortgage affordability platform BrokerSense for an undisclosed sum.

BrokerSense was founded by mortgage adviser Stuart Phillips and freelance developer Mark Spilsbury in 2017. The platform helps mortgage advisers to assess their client’s affordability against lender criteria and offers access to nearly 100 providers across the residential and buy-to-let sectors.

BrokerSense will be integrated into Twenty7Tec’s Source platform.

‘Making advisers’ lives easier’

James Tucker, CEO of Twenty7tec, said the recent turbulence in the mortgage market had led to advisers increasingly relying on sourcing and affordability platforms to give clients up-to-date information.

Tucker said: “At Twenty7tec, we continue to invest in platforms that ease the day-to-day processes for these advisers and have conducted a thorough review of the numerous mortgage affordability tools that have recently come to market.

“This acquisition is further evidence of our ongoing commitment to both acquire and deeply integrate technology that simplifies, streamlines, and digitises financial services.  We believe that in BrokerSense, we have acquired a business that truly delivers a robust, technologically advanced solution that promises to enhance the advisory experience.”

Stuart Phillips, managing director of BrokerSense, said: “Twenty7tec has long been a market leader in the provision of technology solutions that make advisers’ lives easier. I am delighted that BrokerSense will now form part of the Twenty7tec suite of products, and the integration of our affordability solution into Source will extend the depth and breadth of what is already a first-class research platform.”
