Aldermore promotes McCullough to head of sales and development
Aldermore has appointed Matt McCullough (pictured) to the role of head of sales and development, a new role within the lender’s property leadership team.

McCullough will work with the lender’s development programme to improve the broker experience through the origination programme. This will use field-based engagement with brokers’ need to gain better understanding of how the lender can better support them.

He will also offer leadership of the field-based sales team in the country and oversee broker-facing propositions.

McCullough has worked at the firm since 2013, initially joining as a broker support adviser and then working his way up to customer experience manager, telephony sales manager and then national sales manager.

The lender has recently hired Nicola Goldie as head of strategic partnerships and growth and promoted Craig Beattie and James Young to national sales manager.

Beattie and Young will report into McCullough, and he will also work closely with Clare Thomas as head of telephony new business.

Aldermore said the restructured leadership team would “focus on enhancing the experience of its intermediary partners”.

Jon Cooper, head of property at Aldermore, said: “At Aldermore, we value cultivating talent from within. At the same time, we’re keen to supplement our existing talent by hiring best-in-class individuals from outside our organisation who complement our culture and ambitions.

“We have a superb senior team in place, and I have full confidence that our brokers and their clients will reap the benefits.”

McCullough added: “During my 10 years at Aldermore, the bank has grown from strength-to-strength. I’ve loved being part of that growth journey from starting as a broker support adviser in 2013 to now leading a fantastic team as head of sales and development in 2023.

“We’re making some major changes at Aldermore and I’m excited to implement these as we look to innovate in the years ahead.”
