ModaMortgages will be launched by digital lender Chetwood Financial as an intermediary-only lender.
Walker has been with Chetwood Financial for the last year and has helped to develop the ModaMortgages team and proposition.
He has worked in financial services for more than 30 years with roles at Coventry Building Society, Barclays, Bank of Ireland, Lloyds Banking Group as well as Legal and General.
He was most recently at Shawbrook as head of sales and proposition and before that, worked at OSB for over five years as the head of sales and group mortgage proposition at its Interbay Commercial and Prestige Finance division.

The announcement of Walker’s appointment follows the news that Ian Lonergan was recruited as group chair. Lonergan was previously CEO and founder of Precise Mortgages and has also worked at Chetwood to develop ModaMortgages over the past year.
